Vibe Coded Doc Site
We were refreshing the Ensemble doc site around a new brand and design system. The brand’s personality is dynamic and ever-changing, and the usual animation tools only produce fixed, linear output. Nothing on the market could make motion that felt this alive.
I’d also been curious whether vibe-coding could hold up in real production, so I set out to build the tool the brand needed. Two birds, one stone. It took real iteration to get there, not a single magic prompt.
The result is Starling Motion, a small app with intuitive controls. There’s no learning curve, and everything updates in real time, so you never guess at an effect. It outputs an endless variety of production-ready HTML animation, and every bit of doc site motion is Starling’s.
